"You like me, you really like me!"

That is the misquote of one of the most well-known Oscar acceptance speeches of all time.  The original quote as spoken by the incomparable Sally Field is "I can't deny the fact that you like me! You like me!" Right about now that's exactly how I feel, no I didn't win an Oscar or any award recently but I was acknowledged and recognized by my hometown newspaper for my fledgling career as a food writer and cooking instructor.  It's an odd feeling but also a good one.  I don't know if I will ever get used to the idea of "press" no matter how positive.  I just pray that I continue to remain humble and grateful through it all, even when the big dogs come calling (that would be you New York Times).
